Harp Therapy
A Musical Journey Towards Well-Being
Harp therapy is a unique form of musical practice focused on healing rather than performance. Unlike traditional playing, it centers on using music to support others. As a branch of therapeutic music, it emphasizes the connection between sound and well-being. Harp therapists engage in a musical dialogue with clients, using deep listening and empathy to respond to their needs.
A key concept in harp therapy is viewing the client as a “living score” (Giulia Cremaschi Trovesi). Every movement, breath, or mood shift becomes a musical element. The therapist observes these cues, creating improvised music that mirrors the client’s state and promotes balance.

"Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter — to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water."
